Pants transformation to baby booties

A couple of days ago I found these awesome pants:

Well I was excited to begin the transformation of them. Here are the two styles of booties I have made:

Fringe

Stitching

I love them!

From now until the end of the week (Aug 26th- Sept 1st), I will be offering them for 20% off for pre-orders as well as 20% off booties in my shop with code BOOTYLOVE at checkout.

There is a limited number of the electric blue booties. Approx 8, so order them quick before they are all gone.

Just send me a message letting me know what style you prefer.

Three Words!

Electric. Blue. Leather!

I totally freaked out in the thrift store when I found these today!

They are pure awesome, on so many levels.

Of course I will not be wearing them. I'm pretty sure the waist is only big enough to fit my 4 year old, but I will be cutting them up and making them into booties.

Like these:

You can find them in my shop Love in Everything (as well as other one of a kind items) on Etsy, or in the Beyond Buckskin Boutique, which is worth visiting just because there are so many amazing items waiting for you to discover. All authentic First Nations designs.

Sewing for the change of seasons

Summer always comes to an end too quickly. It feels especially fast because it has just begun here. Hopefully it will stick around a little longer for us. Though inevitably it will have to come to an end, so I am preparing my shop for the change of seasons. I will actually be somewhat prepared this year. How unlike me! Rather then trying to do 20 different styles (may be a slight exaggeration), like I have attempted in the past, I have decided to stick to a couple of styles and build up stock.

Here are some of the upcycled goodies I am working on for Fall:

Urban Hoodies Pattern by HeidiandFinn

and Cowl Neck Dresses Pattern also by HeidiandFinn

Once I have built up enough hoodies and dresses I will move onto more ruffle pants pattern by LilyGiggle

and perhaps even some jackets:

There will be lots of bright and bold colours, complimented with soft and subtle. A little something for everyone.

What do you think? Is there anything you would like to see? Or sizes? I love feedback, so please, please share your thoughts. It would mean the world to me.

How cute is this little Pomsky?! I didn't even know they existed until I stumbled upon this adorable picture on Pinterest. I'm not even sure how I came across it, because I was searching for wedding dress ideas. Apparently I veered way of course, which can easily happen when you get sucked into Pinterest.  Sometimes valuable time I could be sewing, reading, writing or a variety of other productive projects, is well wasted spent when I can find something this adorable though.

Biscuit

Plus, how cute would it be to pair that precious pup with my Pyreneese/Malamute/Siberian Husky? We would certainly turn some heads as we stroll up to the dog park with Biscuit and her mini me:) Not that I'm thinking of adding another dog to our home, and not that I would base adding a pet on cuteness alone, but come on! How flippin adorable!

I hope this picture brings you a warm smile on the inside, the same way it did for me:) Have a great day!
